Eileen,
I just wanted to drop a quick line of encouragement to your family and espically Zack. I have been following the posting since Monday after the accident. It is sort of ironic that I am the one encouraged by Zack's strength and how resiellient he has become. It is even more exciting to how God has wrapped your family and Zack up into his arms. Reading the updates and the description of the events that took place I truly beleive God needs Zack here to be to be a warrior for his kingdom on this earth before he calls him home. As a parent I can only imagine how tired you and Scott must be. My prayers have been for Zack's well being and for your and Scott's strength. I want to share a scripture that I held very dear to me whent I was Zack's age. It is Isaiah 40:31 "...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." May God continue to shower you with blessings. Keep Fighting Zack!!!

Sincerely,
Scott McCoy

Mr. and Mrs. Hornback,
I just wanted to let you know I am still praying for Zack! I keep thinking about when we were at the Jaha's a few weeks ago and Zack wanted me to take him with me when I was leaving and Scott said absolutely not. I like to laugh about it because it just makes me think about the Zack I, and everyone else who knows him, knows. I hope to see you all soon! Hang in there Zack, I know how strong you are and always have been since I've known you. "Zack the tough guy".

Hi Eileen and Scott,

You are in the Smith family prayers. This is Pam (Smith) Jarboe. I have followed Zach's progress from day one either through your brother Buddy's Smith e-mails or through the blog site. Zach's photo today is so encouraging he looks great. Aunt Irene looks good too.

Keep your spirits up and keep talking to Zach. You and Scott seem to be such great parents!!! Your faith seems strong and Zach seems like a strong young man. Keep the faith and you will, make good decisions. If we can do anything let us know. 459-9167.

We are storming the heavens with prayers. Lots of Love to you and your family. God Bless Pam.

Hi my name is Larry. We are friends of friends of friends. We attend Southeast and just heard about Zack's accident. We have a bunch of prayer warriors who are going into action for you.
Doctors plus medicine are great, but add JESUS to the equation and all things are possible.

My daughter knows of Zack, from when she attended CAL in Middle School. She attends church with Matt. I have to commend you as parents, for the strength, compassion and forgiveness that you have shown during this difficult time.

Your family will continue to be in our prayers :)

Happy birthday to Scott (7-21). It is also my son's birthday. You can never have too many birthday candles or birthday hugs- enjoy the moment!

Hello, I have never met either you or your son...when your son was in the accident i was in louisville visting a friend that used to play baseball with him. I couldnt stop thinking about it as soon as i heard the news. It doesn't make since to me how life can be so UNFAIR! I can't even begin to imagine what you guys are going threw right now or what you must have felt the moment you got that phone call 3:00 in the morning telling you that your son has been in a car accident when you thought he was safe in bed sleeping. I cant begin to imagine what you have been through these last couple of weeks, watching him hurt in the hospital. I'm sure its heart breaking and it makes me think about how little my problems are and how I take everything for granted. I guess all you can do is remind yourslef that this is happening for a reason and god has a plan for this! I want you to know that I live over 300 miles away from you all and i still pray for him and never have met him in my life...i tell you this so that you know word travels and that you have prays and support all over! And throughout this all your taught so many people so much...and really his recovery is such an engouragement to so many! i want you to stay strong! I will continue to pray for him and for you as well! I wish you the BEST of luck!

Eileen, I was thinking of you this morning as I rode in the car and worshipped to some music, this song has such powerful words and means so much. Thought you might enjoy the words, you have maybe heard it.

"When all around is fading
and nothing seems to last
when each day is filled with sorrow
still I know with all my heart

He's got the whole world in His hands
He's got the whole world in His hands
I'll fear no evil
for you are with me
strong to deliver
mighty to save
He's got the whole world in His hands

When I walk through fire
I will not be burned
When the waves come crashing round me
Still I know with all my hear

He's got the whole world in His hands."

He has you and your family in his hands and he wants all of us to want to be in his hands.

Praying for you,

Beth Barton

Mr. and Mrs. Hornback,
I didn't know your son very well but i met him through the Donovan family when I was younger. Since then we my sister has gotten to know Dylan better through morgan getz. I just wanted you to know that our family is praying for Zack to have a quick recovery and be back on his feet soon. Just remember..."The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the Earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31

Mr. and Mrs. Hornback,
I am a friend of Dylan and I want you to know that I am praying for Zack to get well soon. "Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:7-8. I know your love for Zack will do the same.

Love,

Mr. & Mrs. Hornback,
The power of prayer....I never cease to be amazed by it. I just added Zach and your family to my prayer list. I live in Arizona, have raised two boys and know what a challenge it can be sometimes. I got this website from a friend whose daughter knows Zach. Know that we will keep Zach in our prayers asking for complete recovery, and asking for strength, patience and comfort during these trying times for you. God bless you and keep your faith strong through the power of His Son!

Hey. You don't know me... but I just wanted to let you all know to just hang in there and keep praying and eventually everything will be better. My best friend was in a car wreck not too long ago and I know exactly what you all are going through, and it's not easy, but it will get better. My friend is out of the hospital and almost back to normal and she's doing really good. But I just wanted to tell you all to hang in there. So, hang in there Zack and family.
